@JReader I suppose we should only have sex for reproduction by your reasoning. And why should people not have the right to grow their own medicine, the herb cannot be approved by the FDA,why should I have to pay big Pharma for something I can grow in my garden.

How well is the Current laws against marijuana working? Drug lords and their thugs have made mayhem here and abroad. It's costing a lot of money to incarcerate many non-violent offender in our country. Too much government/legislation doesn't work, treat it as a social problem like we do with alcohol.

JTM -"Reefer Madness" came out in 1936, by definition Baby Boomers are those born from 1946-1964. Don't blame us Baby boomers for marijuana's image problem. For better or for worse it was baby boomers who brought pot use into the mainstream.

Let me guess, the National Pot Prohibition movement is a conspiracy led by New Ulm's Police Chief and the cities HR Director, Manager, Mayor and Attorney and is secretly funded by the New Ulm Catholic Nepotism Society.

So it's ok for someone to come home from work and have some beers or a cocktail, but it's not ok for someone to come home and smoke marijuana? Do some research, everything in moderation, even marijuana, is harmless. The baby boomer generation created a terrible image for marijuana (Reefer Madness) when it is no more harmful than alcohol.

Don't confuse marijuana use for medical reasons with recreational uses. The two are not related. I have no problem if pot would be presribed by a doctor. But I see no reason why we need people getting high just for the feel of it.

We already have a high enough propensity for some people to act stupidly and there is no benefit for people reach greater heights in this regard due to a drug induced state.
