Is the city going to lower my taxes when they cut yet another free service. How long until MR needs a fee to accept yard waste?The city has done a fine job managing this facility. Putting it into the hands of someone who seeks to profit from it seems like a step backwards.

BTW, I've never picked up compost, so it does not matter to me personally if they charge for it.

If they charge me for my yard waste I'll just save a spot in my yard for my own compost pile. I don't like the ideal of M R Paving taking over the landfill because they want to commercialize it and show their products on the site. It will just be an extension of their business space which will cross over onto the bike trail.

Good luck getting people to pay for it. They has a hard enough time giving it all away.
