April 22, 2013

To the editor: What is happening to our country? If we lie to Congress, that is a felony and punishable in court, but if our lawmakers lie to us—well, that’s just politics....

Prayer is not illegal in schools, Government sponsored prayer is. And the only place god is mentioned in the constitution is the date. We allow "***********' on TV because it legal to do so, we do not allow any religion to be sponsored by the governemnt because that is not legal. We have "black history' month because for 200 years all that was taught was "white history". And we have an entire population of immigrants in this country, both legal and illegal, the double standard here is we do not punish or blame those that hire and profit from the current illegal ones.

cont... We did work a lifetime for our benefits, but so did many illegals who have been here for their lifetime & who will become U.S. citizens. It's going to happen, so I'm going to be positive about it.

*********** is evil at its worst & should not be legal or condoned anywhere. The Nativity scene is good at its best & should be allowed as it always has been.

Abortion, sadly, will always remain a heated issue on should have rights, the women who choose to have them or the babies whose lives are forced to be terminated.

I can't & won't abandon my homosexual family & friends. God loves them, as He does me.

Double standards? It's all in how one perceives people & situations.
