Where have the Journal editors been? I told you so “electronic pull tabs would never bring the money needed to pay off the Viking stadium bonds” Based on state law the governor has one of two options. Either stops additional Viking bond sales, and pay off the bonds sold with general fund money. Or rise taxes on Viking fans by adding a 25% surtax on all game tickets. The Viking fans would respond to that tax by NOT GOING TO THE Viking’s game. That would leave the team without the money to pay the bills. Then the NFL will close down the Vikings, because under federal law the NFL team owners have to pay off the teams bills. Federal Bankruptcy is not allowed. Then taxes payer are left hold the bagfor the bankrupt stadium.
