I don't think we need blanket bans. We need people with enough sense in their heads to figure out when something is a bad idea.
There may be venues that are clearly saf enough to handle certain levels of pyrotecnics.
Just as I don't believe that there should be a blanket ban on certain firearms. Deal with the stupid people who are causing the problems. Use exsiting laws to their fullest extent.
Yes, they are dangerous things. So don't let the people who misuse them off with a slap on the wrist.
