What if said members of the government or armed forces are not Christian MT? Can a non-Christian kill with "the sword" and be "His representative in punishing evildoers" ?

I agree that no woman has the right to end the life of her unborn child. However, the unqualified statement that "God, and only God, has dominion over life" seems to declare immoral the killing that takes place in a just war, or the killing of criminals that takes place in the administration of justice on the part of government. Many Christian denominations believe that God has establish government to be His representatives in punishing evildoers. In order to carry out this function, He has given government "the sword," that is, the moral authority to take the life of those who do harm to the innocent.
