Ate Paul Torkelson and Gary Dahmes doing anything constructive for this? I rarely hear them speaking about it. I've seen Terry Morrow's name attached to this than the two representatives that are supposed to be speaking up for New Ulm. Things don't happen in St. Paul unless you fight for them.

Of course Gary Dahmes and Paul Torkelson don't work for things that better the lives of most of us. They are elected by farmers and senior citizens, so that is who they represent. I doubt you will see them offer much support on upgrading highway 14 to 4 lanes.

Paul Torkelson is a member of the Highway 14 Partnership along with Terry Morrow - of course until Terry decided to pack it up and move to Chicago.
If you want to get your licks in because they happen to be Republicans go right ahead - don't let anything like the truth stop you.

Since they happen to be Republicans, they'll no doubt want to go back to the good old days, when everything was wonderful.
Modern highways are essentially a socialistic enterprise, so those two will most likely propose tearing up Highway 14 and replacing it with a one-lane gravel toll road.
They "happen" to be Republicans like Jodi Foster happens to be "single".

And what have they done, JReader? I realize that the republican kool aid may taste pretty good, but I haven't heard either one touting how they are making any progress with building support for Hwy. 14.

I just heard on the radio that Mitt Romney has been appointed toll taker (he seems to have a lot of time on his hands these days) and they are going to name the gravel road, Ronald Reagan's Way.
No kiddin'.

Disagree all you want, but I have not seen anyone reply to my statement. What have either of these politicians done to grow the economy of NEW ULM?

MCW,
The Republican Kool doesn't taste any different than the Democratic Kool Aid. The politically indoctrinated on both sides are too stupid to figure that one out, however.
Keep sipping away MCW.

And, along Ronald Reagan's Way the NRA will be requested to put up little kiosks to sell AK-47's and Glocks and other cool stuff for self defense or for bumping off slow drivers on the tollway.
Only gigantic SUV's will be allowed on RR Way because there is no global warming threat and the more gas guzzled the better.
Also, Blacks, poor people and illegal humans will be banned from Ronald Reagan's Way because...well...dang it, this is still 'merica, bub.
