NEW ULM — A national, non-profit trade organization that promotes archery and bowhunting recently moved its home office from Salt Lake City to the south end of the Marktplatz Mall. The Archery Trade Association includes manufacturers, distributors, retailers and other firms associated with archery and bow hunting. A former New Ulm resident and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) deer biologist and wildlife resource manager — Jay McAninch — is the ATA’s president and CEO. McAninch now lives in Centreville, Va., near Washington, D.C. “We’re excited to bring our business and member services operations to New Ulm and Minnesota,” said McAninch. “We have about 450 manufacturing members, hundreds of retail members, sales representatives, distributors, trade media and a variety of other members scattered around the county who will be better served by our new location.
