Dennis Frederickson featured speaker. Premier of New Ulm podcast tour guide Turner Hall, 102 South State Street 12/3/5 p.m. Glockenspiel carillon plays music, animated characters perform Schonlau Park, 4th North and Minnesota Streets 1-5 p.m. Wanda Gag House will host a 3 p.m. public photo session with “Wanda” and her cat Snoopy. Silent auction for floral arrangements Wanda Gag House, 226 North Washington Street 1:30 p.m. Katie Gropper Walking Tour–Learn about the 1862 Dakota Sioux attack on New Ulm Turner Hall, 102 South State Street 1:30-3 p.m. State Agricultural Commission Round Table Hosted by Assistant Ag commissioner Jim Boerboom– “Coming Food Crisis–Worldwide Impact on our Ag Business.” Anyone interested in the Ag industry is welcome Turner Hall, 102 South State Street 3 p.m. Brown County History Map/Battlefield New Ulm Painting Dedication – New pictorial history plaque Brown County Museum, 2 North Broadway 3-5:30 p.m. Big Catfish Release–Essay winners recognized, exhibits and activities for young and old, especially fishermen, by the State Department of Natural Resources, Commissioner Mark Holsten and others will speak, Big Catfish release at 4:30 p.m. Instructors and shotgun start of open fishing, $1,000 prize! Riverside Park, Front Street between First and Third South Streets 5-8 p.m. Community Picnic at German Park Food and refreshments 6:30 p.m. Program hosted by Brian Filzen to include Mayor’s Welcome, and address by “President Lincoln” and a New Ulm History Skit. 7 p.m. Band Concert ending with New Ulm Battery salute to New Ulm, Capital of the Day! German Park, German and Second North Streets Free admission to all events, except Breakfast and Lunch.
