| | I’m all a-twitterApril 15, 2009 - Kevin SweeneyI just signed up for a Twitter account, just to see what all the fuss is about. I don’t really get it. I’m supposed to write short accounts of what I’m doing, so people who don’t know me and don’t care what I do can read about it? I’m supposed to sign up to follow other Twitterers (or is it Twits?)? Why should I care what they do? “Going to lunch now. Maybe I’ll get tacos.” Is that what people want to read about me? So far I’ve signed up to follow a few news organizations, including The Onion. (The first headline I saw from The Onion was great: “In Focus: Inner-City Prodigy Earns GED At Age 11.”) I also clicked on to follow Penn Gillette’s Twitter. He’s the big, talkative half of “Penn & Teller.” I thought he’d be fun, but most of his stuff is boring. “I’m on Larry King tonight…” “I’m on Glenn Beck Wednesday…” Well, I’ll give it a try. At least it’s free. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
