Seek a new experience with Kimmel

To the editor:

Imagine you are driving down Highway 14 when your car shows a check engine light. Being the responsible person you are, you drive to a mechanic you know named Joe. Joe has 10 years of experience working on cars so you think he will do a good job, but you also see many reviews saying that he is lazy, even from other mechanics!

Now, you go to Joe and talk to him about what is going on, your experience and possible solutions on how to fix it. Joe isn’t having it. He says “It’s more complicated than that,” without explaining why. He waves you off and you wait for the car to get done. You leave the garage and it drives ok.

Two days go by and the light comes on. You go back to Joe and he blames his own tools for the job and is flustered that you aren’t praising him, even though he didn’t fix the problem. Two more days go by and the light appears.

You have heard amongst your neighbors that there is a new mechanic in town named Mickey. Micky is new but has been known in the community all his life for working on cars and helping others learn. Do see Joe who has experience, even though your car isn’t fixed or do go to Mickey?

Now think about the House of Representative race. Are you going to vote for Paul who has experience even though he hasn’t done you any good so far? Or are you going to give Mindy a try?

I would choose Mindy.
