CROP Walk is on for Sunday

To the editor:

Brown County Area CROP WALK will be on Sunday, April 30, at 1 p.m. starting at the Putting Green (1915 S. Valley St.) following the bike trail to German Park and returning to the Putting Green. Registration begins at 12:45 p.m and we plan to hold the event through rain, sleet, or snow!

Church World Service (CWS) is the sponsoring organization. It is a cooperative, ecumenical ministry that provides assistance to hunger and poverty, water source development, disaster relief, and education in gardening and farming in the U.S. and throughout the world. Seventy-five percent of monies raised go to CWS to the areas most needed and 25 percent to our local food shelf. Several of our local churches are involved in the planning of this community event.

This event is about our community working together to make a difference, in our community and in the world. Please join us. You may sign up to walk and/or donate at several local churches or at the event. Checks can be made out to CWS-CROP. To donate on-line, go to: www.crophungerwalk.org/newulmmn. Questions? Call Chris @ 359-7052. Thank you for your support!
