Sister Marches on Saturday
To the editor:
I was happy to see your article in Thursday’s paper about two local women who will be participating in the Women’s March on Washington in Washington, D.C. this Saturday. I’d like also make everyone aware that there are more than 300 sister marches taking place all over the world simultaneously for those of us who can’t make it to Washington. The March in St. Paul will begin January 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul College, parking lot E. The group will march to the Capital (approximately a half mile) where there are several inspiring speakers lined up, and ends at 2 p.m. Please note that this is not simply a protest march, but an affirmation that vibrant and diverse communities are essential to the strength of our country.
