Connie “Chico” Heck

NEW ULM — Connie “Chico” Heck, age 74, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at her home in New Ulm.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. A private family burial will occur at a later date.

Connie is survived by her husband of 57 years , James “Chick” Heck of New Ulm; daughter, Cindy (Mike) Wiedl of New Ulm; son, Corey Heck of New Ulm; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Diane “Termite” (Richard) Murphy, Linda Clyne, Monica “Wiener” (Danny) Gieseke, Julie “Tutsie” (Pat) Schugel; brother, Randy “Sam” (Jo) Clyne; sisters and brothers-in-law, LeRoy Rewitzer, Marlene (Jim) Brown, Max (Harry) Falk, Edwin “Nuggie” (Jeanette) Heck, Helen (Ronnie) Pabst; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marlene “Rusty” Rewitzer, Mary “Eightball” Hogen, Roxanne “Tuni” Schwecke; brother-in-law, Harlan Schwecke; and Linda’s special friend, John Schoof.

Connie Lou “Chico” Clyne was born November 26, 1943 to Martin and Ruth (Guendner) Clyne in New Ulm. She attended Catholic school in New Ulm and helped raise her family at a young age. Connie was united in marriage to the love of her life, James “Chick” Heck on June 3, 1961 in New Ulm. The couple was blessed with 2 children, who they raised together. Aside from raising her family, Connie spent much of her working life as a nurse and eventually retired from the New Ulm Public High School as the school nurse. In her free time, she could be often found going to the casino and playing the slots. What Connie loved most in life was getting to spend time with her family, especially their Sunday morning breakfast tradition. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, blessed be her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial be made out to the donor’s choice.
