FAIRFAX — Lucille M. Borth, age 85, of Fairfax, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 10:30 a.m.. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with Father Bruno officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Lucille Marie (Fahrenkamp) Borth was born on July 18, 1933, in Gibbon, MN, to Emil and Anna (Klement) Fahrenkamp. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Willibrord’s Catholic Church in Gibbon. She graduated from Gibbon High School.

On August 22, 1951, she married Leonard Borth at the Catholic Church in Gibbon. Together they took over the family farm in Fairfax, MN, and farmed until retiring in 1989. At that time, they had built a house in Fairfax and moved into town.

Lucille was a member of St. Andrew’s church and involved with Ladies Aid. She was active in the Fairfax Craft Club and enjoyed making beautiful crafts. She loved having a large garden and did a lot of canning and freezing.

Lucille and Leonard did extensive traveling in the United States and overseas including visiting with relatives in Germany. They liked to fish, dance and enjoyed spending time with their family. They were blessed to have celebrated over 66 years of married life, had 9 children, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by her children, Gary Borth of Eden Prairie, MN, Steve (Donna) Borth of New Ulm, MN, Tom (Karen) Borth of Fairfax, MN, Al (Maxine) Borth of Zimmerman, MN, Deb (John) Krzmarzick of Broken Arrow, OK, Jim (Barb) Borth of Fairfax, MN, Julie (Carl) Schuette of Owatonna, MN, Pat (Kris) Borth of Rochester, MN; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine Bastian of Gibbon, MN, and Darlene (Ted) Liebl of New Ulm, MN; Godchildren, Ron Bastian, Dean Liebl, and Matthew Borth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Borth; parents, Emil and Anna Fahrenkamp; son, Timmy Borth; grandson, Nicholas Borth; brother, Harvey Fahrenkamp; sister-in-law, Delores Jagodzinski; brothers-in-law, Andy Jagodzinski and Ambrose Bastian.
