Hobart Harris Luverne Anderson was born at the old Union Hospital on November 24, 1928 to John & Olga (Koldt) Anderson. He married Charlotte West on April 18, 1954. They lived in Sibley County on a farm for two years, moved to New Ulm, bought a home, joined the UCC, and have been there for over 60 years. Hobart started working for Kraft the first day of production. He received the first Production Achievement Award given for setting highest productivity records in every department in which he worked. After 32 years, he retired in May 1987.

Hobart and Charlotte became Wanda Gag House volunteers for 22 continuous years and served in various capacities. Restoration and fundraising were his main interests. The house was totally and accurately “restored” and completed at the same time Hobart turned 80 years old – a fun celebration was held.

Hobart’s interests included softball, hunting, fishing, cats, foreign & domestic travel, Lions Club of New Ulm, feeding birds, bridge (3 no trump), WGHA, the Lind House, and exercising.

Please – In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to the United Church of Christ, the New Ulm Medical Center, the Brown County Humane Society, or Hermann Monument and Park.
