William Francis Huelskamp
NEW ULM — William Francis Huelskamp, age 88, of New Ulm passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will follow the Mass in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL.

William leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Carol; their children Cheryl (Skip) Duggan of Berlin, MA; Mark (special friend Marla) Huelskamp of Missoula, MT; Laurie (Dave) Allison of Dallas, TX; Lisa (Dave) Hallforth of Naples, FL; Kevin (Shannon) Huelskamp of Lewiston, MN; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Tom Huelskamp, Bob Huelskamp, and John Huelskamp; sisters Marie Schmid and Elizabeth Green as well as many cousins and close friends.
William is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Willabalda (Eibner) Huelskamp; daughter, Jane Vavra; great granddaughter, Stella Donahue; siblings, Raymond Huelskamp Jr., Billie Seifert and Margaret Donohue.
William was born and raised on a farm outside New Ulm, MN, the son of Raymond and Willabalda Huelskamp. He married the love of his life, Carol Zins, in Swan Lake Catholic Church on August 8, 1951. William had a passion for hunting, fishing, and watching his children participate in high school and college sports, theatre and many other activities. In more recent years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. William’s special memories were of his elk hunting trips in Montana, fishing in Alaska & Mexico and, most of all, spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him, blessed be his memory.
