NEW ULM — Jerome Kral, 92, of New Ulm died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Cornelius Ezeiloaku celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday and 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.

The St. John’s Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters will pray the rosary at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Irene Kral, Leonard (Elizabeth) Kral, Loretta (Albert) Schroepfer, Gladys (Eugene) Lang, Dolores (Gervis) Sellner and Angeline (Linus) Krzmarzick; and by his brothers-in-law, Anthony Krzmarzick and Vernard Schroepfer.

Jerome Bernard Kral was born June 6, 1925 on the Kral homestead in Sigel Township to Otto and and Anna (Braulick) Kral. He attended School District #69 in Sigel Township and Holy Trinity Catholic School in New Ulm. Jerome was united in marriage to Dolores Tauer in May 19, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. They made their home on the Kral Family Farm where they were blessed with their ten children, Joe, Jerry, Jim, John, Jeff, Jeremy, Janice, Jesse, Joel and Julian. Jerome was 3rd generation to farm the 1888 homestead where he enjoyed being a dairy farmer and farming the land with his John Deere tractors. He also enjoyed caring for his apple trees, gathering black walnuts and most of all he took great pleasure in family get togethers. Jerome lived on the farm until he entered Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm on December 5, 2017.

He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and a 75 year member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
