Carol Ann Minnick

NEW ULM — Carol Ann Minnick, 84, of New Ulm, died on September 17, 2017, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

She was born Aug. 29, 1933, in Hector to Charles C. and Myrtle (Force) Minnick. She married Albert H. Hindermann, Jr. on July 9, 1952.

Carol is survived by her son Steven (Vivian) Hindermann of Waconia; daughters Susan (Michael) Kolbinger of Mankato, Sandra (Charles) Hartley of Lafayette and Sheryl Hindermann of New Ulm; grandchildren Stacy (Paul) Dullard and Jacob (Jessica) Hindermann, Andrew and Matthew Hartley (Sarah Ashton); great-grandchildren Gabriel and Isaac Hindermann, Aidan, Kate, Aubrey, Alyssa, and Onyx Dullard; brother Donald Minnick of Daytona Beach, FL., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; former husband Albert H. Hindermann, Jr.; brothers, Harold Minnick, Sr. and John Minnick; sisters Holly Kittle, Mae Shannon, and Dorothy Rapacz, and many nieces and nephews.

Carol worked at the Weneeda Café, Och’s Department Store, B.F. Goodrich, and General Trading Company. She was a member of Turner Ladies from 1964 to 2017. Carol enjoyed playing 500 marathon, coordinating family reunions, working crossword puzzles, making sauerkraut and dumplings, and reading.

Funeral service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 88320 County Road 22, Brookfield Township, Hector (near Cosmos), at noon on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, followed by burial in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery and lunch at the church. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. for one hour prior to the service at the church. No flowers please. Memorials are suggested to New Ulm Medical Center Foundation-Hospice.
