Alice Esther Brudelie
NEW ULM — Alice Esther Brudelie, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10 at Ridgeway on 23rd in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska with Pastor Sarah Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Alice is survived by sisters-in-law, Shirley Brudelie of Hanska, Myra Schaefer of New Ulm; brother, Dennis (Cathy) Schaefer of Appleton, Wisconsin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Brudelie; sisters, Norma (Leo) Nontelle, Elaine (Bill) Gordenier; brothers, Erwin, Delbert (Dolores), Roy, Richard (Marlene); sisters-in-law, Arlene Larson, Margaret Ringnell Plaisance, Evangeline Brudelie, Delphine Ohland, Catherine Trammell, Gloria Brudelie; and brothers-in-law, Orville, Sherman, and Warren Brudelie.
Alice Esther Schaefer was born to Otto and Alma (Becker) Schaefer on April 20, 1924 in New Ulm, MN. She was the fourth of eight children. She went to St. Paul Lutheran School throughout the 8th grade. She worked at an egg plant and a garment factory in New Ulm until her marriage to Olaf Raymond Brudelie on September 4, 1946. After marriage, they lived for a few years in New Ulm and then moved to Hanska. They built their house in Hanska in 1963, which they were extremely proud of. They moved to Ridgeway on 23rd
in New Ulm in 2004. Ray passed away June 30, 2009 at Sleepy Eye Care Center. They were members of Zion Lutheran in Hanska.
