SANBORN — Marion Weber, 76, of Sanborn, died on May 18, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Springfield.

Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sanborn. The clergy will be Pastor Robert Mehltretter. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Sanborn.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel and will continue on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sanborn.

Marion Weber was born May 24, 1940 in Windom to Laurence and Margaret (Waterman) Weber. She graduated from Sanborn High School in 1958. She worked at Sanborn High School and Red Rock Central High School as secretary for over 50 years. She was a faithful member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sanborn. Marion enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, knitting, playing piano and coloring. Shortly after she retired, she moved to the Maples at St. John’s Lutheran Home for three years for health reasons. The last couple of months she was in and out of the hospital and nursing home.

She died peacefully May 18, 2017, at St. Johns at the age of 76 years, 259 days.

She is survived by her sister, Joan (Willis) Wendland of Balaton; nieces, Cambi (Mike) Lehmann of Mankato, Pamela Speckien of Eau Claire, WI, Lynette (Matt) Peterson of North Mankato; nephew, Troy (Allisa) Wendland of Balaton; seven grand-nieces and eight grand-nephews. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; nieces, Michele Goettl and baby Joan Wendland and grand-niece, Moriah Lehmann. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be given to the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sanborn or the donor’s choice.
