Hertha Eleanor Langhoff was born November 27, 1921 in Marshall County, Minnesota to William and Ernestina (Fluegge) Langhoff. She attended grade school in District 48. On April 27, 1945, Hertha was united in marriage to Robert Block. Hertha and Robert raised their eight children together in New Ulm. Early in life, Hertha worked at the Wear Well Garment Factory in New Ulm, but later was employed with 3M; a career she enjoyed working for thirteen years until her retirement in 1988. Hertha also found great joy in socializing and visiting with friends and neighbors. Her favorite ways to do this was through her card clubs or meeting with the ladies in her Red Hat Society. Hertha dearly enjoyed music. She loved to dance and sing, especially to old time music. Hertha was also a devout Christian who practiced her faith as a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm where she was involved in various ladies circles, and bible studies groups. What Hertha loved the most in life was spending time with her family and especially watching her grandchildren grow. She will be dearly missed by all of those who loved her.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the compassionate and caring staff at Woodstone Senior Living Community and Allina Hospice for your wonderful care.
