New Ulm Police

• Assisted a Drug Task Force investigation that resulted in the arrest of a 43-year-old North Mankato woman for a pending 5th-degree controlled substance charge at 5:18 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.

• Received an email scam/fraud report from a New Ulm woman at 3:26 p.m. Friday. The woman received an email requesting her to buy 10 $100 gift cards. She bought the gift cards, then called police who directed her how to get the money back that she spent on the gift cards, which she did.

Renville County

Sheriff’s Office

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 10:39 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of county Roads 17 and 6, about four miles south of Renville in Emmet Township. A 1996 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Dinny Yang, 24, Walnut Grove, was eastbound on CR 17, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a 2016 Hyundai Accent, driven by Kathleen Zaske, 63, Renville. Zaske was southbound on CR 6. Both drivers were transported to the Renville County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene were Renville Ambulance, the Renville Fire Department and the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.
