New Ulm Police

• Received a report of a single-vehicle crash without injuries at 12th North and Garden Street at 10:52 a.m. Aug. 2. A 2008 Dodge Charger driven by Joseph G. Gag, 15, New Ulm, was southbound on Garden Street, tried to turn left onto 12th North when he said he hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and drove through the lawn at 1125 12th North, coming to a rest after hitting a house. Vehicle damage was moderate to the front end. There was damage to the exterior siding of the house and a lawn decoration was damaged.

State Patrol

• Received a report of a two-vehicle crash with non-life-threatening injuries at 360th Street at 730th Avenue, Rosendale Township, St. James, Watonwan County. A 1998 Kenworth semi driven by Josiah E. Helferich, 27, Mountain Lake, and a 2003 Ford F150 driven by Rodney D. Wolters, 64, Lewisville, were both westbound on 360th Street when the Ford pickup rear-ended the Kenworth. Both drivers wore seat belts. Wolters was transported to St. James hospital. Alcohol was not involved.
