Minnesota State Patrol
• Received a two-vehicle crash report at State Highway 68 and Blue Earth County road 42, Judson Township, Blue Earth County at 2:18 p.m. July 24. A 2008 Subaru Impreza driven by John A. Johnson, 51, Mankato, was southbound on CR 42 failed to stop and collided with a 2017 Hyundai Tuscon driven by Mary L. Laubach, 69, New Ulm, who was eastbound on Highway 68. Johnson and a passenger, Lawrence D. Davis, 52, Winnebago; Mary and David Laubach were all transported to Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries. The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Crystal Fire, Gold Cross and Allina Ambulance assisted.
New Ulm Police
• Investigated a car-bicycle accident at the Hy-Vee store, in the area of Broadway and Cottonwood Street. Kevin LeRoy Anderson, 58 of 1522 N. State St., New Ulm was riding his bicycle southbound on the shoulder of the northbound lane of Broadway near the Hy-Vee gas station driveway. Donald Robert Jorgenson, 64, was in the driveway waiting to turn north onto Broadway. Anderson approached the intersection and thought Jorgenson was going to let him through. They entered the intersection at the same time and collided. Anderson suffered minor injuries. There were minor damages to Anderson’s bicycle and Jorgenson’s pickup at 2006 GMC Sierra.
