New Ulm Police

• Police brought a drunk individual Saturday morning at 2:25 to a safe place. The person had been dropped off in town and had contact with police multiple times. Officers did not elaborate on the location of where the safe place was.

• A woman called police Saturday at 12:46 p.m. to report a counterfeit bill. She claimed she got it from HyVee last week when she received change. It was discovered to be fake at the Mystic Lake Casino.

• No injuries were reported after a collision Saturday at 10:14 a.m. on Berens Blvd. near Somsen. Joseph Frank, 64, was westbound in a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. He looked over his shoulder to the left and his vehicle veer right, colliding with a parked International Truck semi trailer. Minor damage was sustained by the semi trailer, major damage was dealt to the Oldsmobile.

• No injuries were reported after a collision Satuday at 2:13 p.m. at Highland Ave. and Karl Drive. Brian Michael Schwab, 29, of 2104 N. Highland, was heading south on Highland in a 2003 GMC Sierra Truck, pulling a trailer, when David Richard Wester, 38, of 2017 N. Highland, #201, driving a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, pulled out of the parking lot at Skyline Apartments, attempting to cross over Highland onto Karl Drive. There was major damage to the Sonata, and moderate damage to the GMC and its trailer.
