New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 11th North and Franklin Street at 8:32 a.m. March 15. A 2001 Dodge Stratus driven by Charles Leske, 48, New Ulm, was southbound on Franklin Street when he collided with a 2003 Chevy Malibu driven by Joyce Rotering, 72, New Ulm, who was westbound on 11th North and failed to yield the right of way. Damage was moderate to the front end of the Chevy and moderate to the left side of the Dodge.

• Received a theft report at Hy-Vee Foods, 2015 S. Broadway at 3:05 p.m. March 14. A New Ulm man tried to leave the store property without paying for $153 worth of groceries. Employees stopped the man and recovered the groceries. A report was made for charge consideration.

• Received a burglary report at a storage unit at 1715 S. State St. A lock was damaged but nothing was reported missing. The incident remains under investigation.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Received a stolen vehicle report at 817 1st Ave. S. at 2:01 p.m. March 14. A 2007 Chevy Impala was reported stolen several days ago. Police said it was recovered after a high-speed chase involving Faribault Police. The suspect is Montique Bickham Jr., 22, Owatonna, is in custody at the Rice County Jail. He faces charges of receiving stolen property, reckless driving, driving after suspension and fleeing a police officer.
