Sheriff’s Office

• With the Brown-Lyon-Redwood Renville Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at a Milroy apartment complex at 3 p.m., Jan. 25. Property was recovered from a burglary at the Farmer’s Co-op Association elevator. A suspect, Robert J. Casey, 31, Milroy, formerly of Alabama, was taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree burglary in Redwood County District Court Jan. 30. His bail was set at $40,000 with conditions and $60,000 without conditions. The sheriff’s office said several burglaries or attempted burglaries were reported in Milroy including the school and city public works building. A Rule 8 hearing was set for 9 a.m. Feb. 5.

Sibley County

Sheriff’s Office

• Received a house fire report on 208th Lane, two miles north of Belle Plaine in Faxon Township at 8:39 a.m. Jan. 30. The Justin and Rebecca Tanner home was fully engulfed in flames when the Belle Plaine Fire Department arrived. Nobody was hurt in the fire. The house was demolished. Assistance was given by Belle Plaine, Jordan, Cologne, Hamburg and Gaylord Fire Departments and Belle Plaine Ridgeview Ambulance.

State Patrol

• Received a one-vehicle crash report with non-life threatening injuries on State Highway 60, Fieldon Township, Watonwan County at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 30. A 2005 Ford Explorer driven by Anibal A. Martin-Ramos, 24, Madelia, was northbound on Highway 60, lost control on ice, entered the south ditch and rolled. Alcohol was not involved. Martin-Ramos was transported to the Madelia Hospital. Madelia Police, Fire and Ambulance assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Received a report of a gas drive-off at Harmening Oil & Trucking Inc., 1400 S. Valley St., at 11:38 a.m. Jan. 31. More than $69 dollars worth of gas was reported stolen.
