Sheriff’s Office

• Received a one-vehicle crash report at CR 4, about 1/4 mile east of 420th Street, in Palmyra Township, southeast of Bird Island at 4 p.m. Jan. 21. A 2006 Mercury Milan driven by Jaedyn Kelly, 18, Waconia, was westbound on CR 4, entered the south ditch, hit a field approach and spun several times. Kelly and a passenger, Mikayla Klusman, Honey Creek, Ia. reported minor chest pain and were assessed on the scene by Hector Ambulance Service. Both people declined transport to a hospital. Vehicle damage was moderate. The crash in under investigation.

New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at Center and Washington Streets without injuries in snow-packed, icy conditions at 10:40 a.m. Jan. 24. A legally-parked, unoccupied 2003 Chevy Silverado was on the 100 block of South Washington Street, was hit by a 2017 Freightliner driven by Glenn O. Janni, 57, New Ulm, who was northbound, assisting with city-wide snow removal, when the Freightliner hit the Chevy rear driver’s side corner edge after swerving to avoid a vehicle on the other side of the street. Damage was minor to moderate to the Silverado. Janni wore a seat belt.
