New Ulm Police

• Christina Boateng, 51, of Mankato, is suspected to have sustained chest and leg injuries in an accident at about 7 p.m. at 1st South and Broadway in New Ulm, according to police.

She was driving a 2007 Toyota Avalon south on Broadway. He glasses fogged up and obscured her vision. After removing them she had difficulty seeing, drove into the median and struck a light pole. Her vehicle sustained severe front-end damage. A light pole was severely damaged.

• Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 5th North Street and Garden Street at 7:48 a.m. Jan. 16. A 1996 Honda Accord driven by Reece R. Melby, 17, New Ulm, was following a Ford Econoline van driven by Allen A. Drexler, 62, New Ulm, who was northbound on Garden Street, when it stopped at 5th Street North. The Honda tried to stop but slid into the back of the van. Damage was minor to the Honda. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Police received a report about a theft from a residence at 1127 Front St. S. at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 16. A homeowner said two window blinds were stolen. A value estimate was not available.

• Police arrested a 35-year-old man on a warrant at the New Ulm Motel, 1427 S. Broadway at 8:17 a.m. Jan. 16. Police were alerted to the motel after the man, who had been living at the motel, reported he was locked out of his room.
