The New Ulm Chamber of Commerce Willkommen Committee last week held a ribbon-cutting with Mayor Robert Beussman to officially celebrate the opening of the new Bank Midwest building and to thank Bank Midwest for their investment in the New Ulm community.  The new building, located at 525 Center Street, is 6500 square feet while their old location was just 1900 square feet. Bank President Shannon Hillesheim has already hired two employees with the expanded space, bringing their staff count to 13.  The new building includes a break room, a conference room, and a fitness workspace that is Heart of New Ulm approved. The bank will be holding a public open house on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
