NEW ULM — Broadway Subway opened new drive-thru equipment at its 1404 S. Broadway location Nov. 8.

“We’re really excited about it. It’s much more convenient for our customers. They can touch the screen like using an iPhone or talk to an employee,” said store owner Amanda Marks. “It’s the best of both worlds. We invite people to come on by and give it a try.”

Marks, of Redwood Falls, bought seven area Subway stores earlier this year including three in New Ulm and others in Sleepy Eye, Madelia, Springfield and St. James.

Marks said there was a recent price decrease to $4.99 for five footlong subs at her stores.

In addition, Marks said her stores offer sandwich catering and platters with 24-hour notice. Her local and area stores have three full-time managers and about 30 part-time employees.

New Ulm Subway locations include the 100 block of South Minnesota St. and in the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Regular store hours on South Broadway are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
