New staff at United Way of Brown County
NEW ULM – The Willkommen Committee met at the Brown County United Way offices to welcome new staff members, Abigail Schwab and Sarah Lee.
Schwab is a New Ulm native and has loved working in Social Services. She became the full time director for the Underage Substance Abuse Coalition in June. She has been busy meeting with school officials and is working on getting more youth involvement. One of her latest projects was updating cigarette butt disposals so that underage kids couldn’t get cigarettes out of them.
Lee has been working part time with the Brown County Area United Way since November. She lives in Courtland with her husband and four sons. She is very happy to be at the Brown County Area United Way because finance is her passion, and that is what she gets to do every day.
Anderson welcomed at NU-Telecom
NEW ULM — The Willkommen Committee met with Craig Anderson, the new Chief Business Development Officer at NU-Telecom, to welcome him as a new member of the community.
Anderson moved to New Ulm from West Fargo. Craig has a BA in Management from Hamline University in St. Paul, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He worked in architecture and infrastructure for 20 years and worked for a marketing firm for five years. He loved getting to see the innovation and strength of rural communities while working with businesses in the past and he’s excited to work for a business with such great roots in their community.
