ACFS mental health center opens New Ulm office

NEW ULM — Adult, Child & Family Services, LLC (ACFS), a comprehensive mental health center, has opened an office in New Ulm. ACFS has a team of qualified staff available to accommodate same day appointment requests, short wait times for follow-up and evening appointments.

ACFS became a part of the Mankato community almost 20 years ago. Jessica Shouler purchased the clinic in the spring of 2016.

ACFS provides a continuum of care to those in need.

Outpatient Services include:

• Individual & Family Therapy

• Marriage Counseling

• Children Therapy

• Anger Management Groups

• Sexual Assault Groups

Rehabilitative Services

These services focus on skills training and is provided in a variety of settings such as the home and community. Adult services develop and enhance their stability, social skills, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living skills. Children services will provide the appropriate skills training to the child while working with the parents, schools, case managers and physicians to maximize their progress in skills building.

Adult, Child & Family Services can provide speakers for a broad range of mental health topics. Education and/or training can be provided to teachers, nurses, clergy, caseworkers, law enforcement, and to the general public.

Rachel Smith joins

Ameriprise Financial

NEW ULM – Rachel Smith, has joined the New Ulm office of Wealth Management Solutions, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. as a financial advisor. Smith joins financial advisors Greg Leuthold APMA®, Dennis Paul APMA®, John Holmquist ChFC®, APMA®, and Mila Quiring. Wealth Management Solutions is made up of 31 advisors and staff across six Minnesota locations.

In this role, Smith will assist in supporting client relationships by managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare preliminary financial plans and other client deliverables, as well as performing other office tasks as needed.

Smith has four years of experience in the financial industry. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Martin Luther College in New Ulm. Smith is a member of the New Ulm Youth Professionals Leadership Team, secretary on the Wanda Gag House Association Board and a 2015 graduate of Network New Ulm.
