NU-Telecom holds annual meeting and Board of Directors election
NEW ULM – New Ulm Telecom, Inc., held its 113th annual shareholders’ meeting at the New Ulm Event Center on May 25th, 2017.
Duane Lambrecht retired from the Board and was recognized for his 18 years of service. James Seifert was elected as a new director for a three year term. Seifert has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Ecolab, Inc. since 2011 and brings to the board a rich and diverse background in public company governance, ethics and business strategy as well as background in technology and innovation. Colleen Skillings was re-elected to the Board of Directors for a three year term.
Other current Directors on the seven-member Board include Dennis Miller, Bill Otis, Perry Meyer (Chairman), Wesley Schultz and Suzanne Spellacy.
In addition to presentations made by the Executive Management team, Brad Finstad spoke about NU-Telecom technology services playing an important role in rural communications. He also complimented the company on being well represented in legislative discussions and in participation in the Minnesota Border to Border Grant programs. Finstad is CEO of the Center for Rural Policy and Development.
