ECFE Community Halloween Party

NEW ULM — ECFE will hold itgs Community Halloween Party on Friday, Oct. 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Jefferson Gym. This event is for all children ages infant to 6 years old, and their parents. Cost for the event is $3 per child, with a $6 family max. Children 12 months and under are free.

There will be art activities, exciting games, face painting, treats, New Ulm Park and Rec’s Bounce House, and Happy Joe’s Pizza for sale. There will also be a photo backdrop, so have your camera ready. Costumes are optional, no face masks or weapons please. No registration is required.

ECFE Fostering Sensory Play

NEW ULM — ECFE is holding a sensory make and take event on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Washington Learning Center. Come and learn about the importance of sensory play. Discover what sensory play looks like. Learn about the benefits of sensory play when children are engaged in play. Explore how sensory play can be fostered in the home. Create your own individual sensory bin for your child or the children in your care.

Trunk or Treat Event

NEW ULM — First United Methodist Church, at the corner of Center and Broadway, will host a “Trunk or Treat” event on Halloween evening, Oct. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Cars will be parked in a line and the trunks are decorated with friendly Halloween or other themes. Children can easily walk from one car to another asking for tricks or treats. This is a nice event for parents of children too young to handle scary decorations or long walks for trick or treats.
