Museum holding used book sale this weekend
NEW ULM — The Brown County HIstorical Society Museum is having a Used Book Sale this week in the annex building behind the museum.
The sale will start on Thursday June 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. for Historical Society members only. The sale will continue on Friday June 9, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 10, a.m. to 3 p.m.
NEW ULM — New Ulm Public Library will offer an introduction to Ancestry Library Edition on Wednesday, June 14 at 8:30 a.m. This one-hour, hands-on session is for people new to the Ancestry Library Edition genealogy database. Basic computer skills are necessary. Call 507-359-8332 to register.
Produce Tuesday at Food Shelf
on June 13
NEW ULM — The New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf & Second Harvest Food Bank is offering produce, fruit, bakery items and potatoes, if available, on Tuesday, June 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 1305 South Valley Street, New Ulm.
Registration starts at 1:30 p.m. Bring your own bags or boxes. Our goal is that no one goes hungry, this distribution is open to anyone who needs help.
The food given during “Produce Tuesday” is brought from Second Harvest the same day. No food donated for the New Ulm Food Shelf’s normal operations is used for this distribution.
Book Buzz Event
NEW ULM — Learn about the best summer 2017 books for adults at a book buzz event Monday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at New Ulm Public Library. Penguin Random House rep Robert Haddock will give readers the inside scoop on the season’s hottest titles, and he will give away books, book bags, book catalogs and excerpt samplers. Better Breather’s Club meets June 15
NEW ULM — The New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) Pulmonary Rehab Department Better Breathers Club of New Ulm meets Thursday, June 15, at 2 p.m. in the NUMC Auditorium.
