Major storm expected this weekend: Cancellations announced

NEW ULM — A major winter storm is expected to belt Minnesota with snow on Saturday and Sunday. With snow totals of 8 to 12 inches forecast from Saturday though Sunday, a number of local events have been canceled or postponed.

The New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club’s Farm Show has been cancelled for Saturday.

The Lafayette Lions Club BINGO at Dave’s Place on Saturday is canceled.

St. Raphel’s School in Springfield Cadillac Dinner scheduled for Saturday evening is postponed to Sunday, March 24. More info can be found on their Facebook page

-A Memorial Service for Sandra Brandes Krienke has been postponed to April 13th at 1 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Courtland.

On Sunday:

The Benefit for Brady Webster in Winthrop is rescheduled for Sunday, March 17 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at UFC-Berdan Center

Regular Sunday brunch at Searles Bar & Grill this weekend is canceled

St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette’s bingo event at 1 p.m. is canceled

Heartland Express Closed on Sunday

Catholic United Financial of Fairfax Sunday Brunch at St. Andrew’s is postponed to a later date TBD
