Gawk at the gaggle of geese gathered

For a get-together on the ground

A gaggle of grounded Canadian geese gathered in an empty lot across from the Skylline Terrace Apartments and next to the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Residents in the area were able to get relatively close to the geese to take photographs. In all, there were over 200 birds in the lot.

The Canadian goose is native to North America. As its name suggest, the bird breeds in Canada and migrate south for the winter. The sight of the Canadian geese traveling south signals the coming of autumn, which officially starts Sept. 22.
