Brown County panel OKs applications
NEW ULM — The Brown County Planning Commission unanimously approved a pair of permit applications in North Star and West Milford Townships March 13.
Cary Lindeman’s application to renew an existing conditional use permit to continue to allow a maximum of 900 animal units in a beef finishing operation on property owned by James and Carlotta Lindeman in Section 4, North Star Township was approved on a motion by Brian Braun, seconded by Dennis Potter.
A residence located within a half-mile of the property owned by Maureen Kersten was built after the Lindeman property, Potter said.
Loren Hoffman’s application to renew an existing conditional use permit to continue to allow extraction and storage of sand and gravel, etc. in an existing gravel mine on property owned by West Milford Partnership in Section 31, Milford Township was approved on a motion by Anita Mohr, seconded by John Rolloff.
The permit is effective for three years from issuance date. A condition added to the application called for dust control on nearby gravel roads.
The recommendations will be considered by the Brown County Board of Commissioners at 10 a.m. March 20.
