U of M Crops Day Meetings January 11 and 12
WASECA — The U of MN Southern Research and Outreach Center’s 2018 Winter Crops Days will be held Thursday, Jan. 11 (Arlington & Lake Crystal) and Friday, (Rochester & Waseca) Jan. 12, 2018. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at all four locations with the program to begin at 9 a.m.
The program on Thursday will follow format of previous years, cost of the event is $35, which will include morning refreshments, lunch and handout materials. Continuing education credits have been applied for certified crop advisers.
The program Friday will include a new location, the Heintz Center, 1926 Collegeview Drive East, Rochester. This program will focus on production agriculture with an emphasis on crop and soil science. The morning session will center on agronomic, economic and environmental sound nitrogen management, in the afternoon session, speakers will discuss crop production in a changing climate. The program on Friday will share the same topics and speakers in separate order at the Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca. You can choose to attend one or both sessions and include lunch or not. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for the entire day that includes morning refreshments, lunch, and handout materials is $50.

The annual Winter Crops Day meetings are open to the public. Producers, farm managers, ag consultants and salespeople, or others interested in learning more about production agriculture with an emphasis on crop and soil science are encouraged to attend.
