The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday stopped by My Eye Photography to celebrate the new business with a ribbon-cutting, with City Councilor Dave Christian (front, center right). Shamara Hornick (front, center left) opened the photography studio at 526 S. Minnesota St. in the Old Corner Store building a few months ago. She grew up in New Ulm and graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar with a degree in Professional Photography. She came back to New Ulm after college because, she says, she felt “this is my home.” She has been a full-time photographer for the past year, shooting on location, but is looking forward to having a studio for indoor photos, especially during the winter months.
NEW ULM–A ribbon-cutting event was held at My Eye Photography Thursday morning.

A grand-opening celebration is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18.
