New Ulm to hold forum on race
NEW ULM – New Ulm is asking community residents to come together for a community conversation on race. “It’s Time to Talk: Forums on Race” is a YWCA trademarked racial dialogue facilitation process utilizing trained facilitators to lead small table discussions on race. Participants exchange ideas during the introductory conversation in a nonthreatening environment.
This free public event will take place on Monday, Sept. 18, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This will be an opportunity to build community connections, grow professional development skills, learn new ways to think about race and more. The forum will be held at the New Ulm Middle School Building in the District Conference Room, 414 South Payne Street, New Ulm. Registration is required as space is limited. This event will include free childcare as well as a refreshments. You must indicate the need for childcare when you register. Childcare check-in is at 3:45 p.m.
