State Patrol identifies crash victim

SLEEPY EYE — The Minnesota State Patrol identified the 60-year-old man who died in a crash on State Highway 4 in Home Township, north of Sleepy Eye, at 2:16 p.m. Monday.

Joseph H. Sellner, 60, Sleepy Eye, died of injuries received in a crash involving a 1997 Chevy pickup driven by Philip P. Sellner, 61, of Sleepy Eye. The pickup collided with a 2016 Hino straight truck driven by Mark S. Solheim, 56, of Clear Lake.

The straight truck was northbound on Highway 4 when it crossed onto the shoulder, overcorrected and slid into the southbound lane, colliding with the Chevy pickup that was southbound on Highway 4, according to the State Patrol.

Phillip Sellner was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with a life-threatening injury. Further information on his status was not available Tuesday.

Solheim suffered a non-life threatening injury.
