Buffalo man charged with sex assault
NEW ULM — Zachary James Witry, 26, of Buffalo, was charged Thursday in Brown County with criminal sexual conduct and soliciting a child.
He is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl with developmental disabilities in New Ulm.
The girl reportedly told police that Witry claimed to be 15 on a social media site. She alleged he sexually assaulted her in the back seat of a car.
New Ulm Police were tipped off about the case by Shakopee Police who were investigating the alleged assault of another girl, 15. The New Ulm case surfaced during that investigation.
Witry is in jail in Scott County on charges in the Shakopee case.
