Nylander

SPRINGFIELD — Kelsey Nylander, D.O., has been named medical director of Mayo Clinic Health System in Springfield.

Dr. Nylander succeeds Jennifer Langbehn, D.O., who is transitioning out of that role but will continue her current responsibilities as medical director of Mayo Clinic Health System in St. James.

“We are fortunate to have Dr. Nylander in this important position,” says Scott Thoreson, Mayo Clinic Health System in Springfield site administrator. “As part of our leadership team, she will work with administration and nursing to improve quality outcomes, patient satisfaction and the overall delivery of value to our patients.”

Dr. Nylander received her Bachelor of Science degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University, Center for Health Sciences, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She completed her residency with the University of Minnesota Family Medicine Program at Mayo Clinic Health System in southwest Minnesota. She is certified in family medicine with the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians and is an instructor of family medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.

“I’m excited to work with a great care team of local providers, nurses and allied health professionals to provide the very best care possible to patients in Springfield, Lamberton and the surrounding area,” says Dr. Nylander.
