New Ulm Police
• DWI charges are pending against an individual who was arrested at approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday. An officer stopped the person for erratic driving at the intersection of 9th St. N. and Broadway St. N. The individual was processed and released, the case is awaiting the county attorney’s review.
• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Garden Steet and Center Street at 11:19 p.m. Friday. John Haala, 65, was driving a 2000 Chevy Impala northbound on Garden Street. He failed to stop at a stop sign, colliding with Samuel Kutz, 20, who was driving a 2015 Chevy Cruze westbound on Center Street. Haala’s vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front. Kutz’s vehicle was damaged on the driver’s side rear portion and was towed away.

State Patrol
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a semi truck roll-over Saturday at approximately 2:30 a.m.. While traveling west bound in the left lane of Highway 30 in Watonwan County Zakaria Hussein, 23, of Minneapolis went onto the shoulder, overcorrected and crossed both lanes before rolling into the north ditch. Hussein suffered non-life threatening injuries. St. James Ambulance assisted.
