No prior skill or experience is necessary. Register online or at the Rec. Center.

Youth Spikeball League for youth 10-17 is offered July 15-Aug. 19. Spikeball is best described as a combination of volleyball and four square, most commonly played by two teams of two players. Opposing teams line up across from each other with the Spikeball net in the center. The ball is put in play with a service; a hit by the server from behind the service boundary into the net to an opposing player.

Once the ball is served, players can move anywhere they want. The object of the game is to hit the ball into the net so the opposing team cannot return it. A team is allowed up to three touches to return the ball. The rally continues until the ball is not returned properly.

League structure will include players rotating partners throughout the league but collecting individual points from each match. Grab your friends and register for this fun league today! Register online or at the Rec. Center.

Buckthorn – Now is a great time to cut down buckthorn. The berries are green and have not formed seeds. Cutting down one berry tree will prevent thousands of seedlings. Remember to cut as low to the ground as possible. Use Purple Round Up concentrate (50% glyphosate) in herbicide blotter (available at Rec Center front desk) or sponge brush it on; do not spray.
