Graffix Plus opens in mall

NEW ULM – An Arlington man who recently moved his business into the Marktplatz Mall said he’s happy he did and said a number of clients have asked him to help them.

James Haviland operated, Graffix Plus, a computer repair and custom graphics business in downtown Arlington for 16 years before moving into the north end of the mall last week.

His business experience centers on computer repair, used computer and computer accessory sales, graphic design and creating web sites.

“I’ still getting set up, but a number of people have come in and asked me to do work for them,” Haviland said. “My objectives are to provide good service at an affordable price. There is no sense in paying extra for an item when you can get it for less.”

With a 53-inch vinyl machine, Haviland can make vinyl graphics including banners for just about anything customers may want. Some of his biggest clients are race car, go kart racing and semi truck owners.

He replaces cracked glass on cell phones, which he said should be promptly done to avoid users from getting cut from glass and to avoid complete loss of mobile device functionality. Haviland works on desktops, laptops, cell phones, tablets, LCDs and televisions.

He repairs and replaces computer hard drives. He stocks a variety of computer supplies including sound systems, memory expansion boards, cards, fans, batteries and fans. If he doesn’t stock parts clients need, he’ll order them online.

“We strive at getting your computer out the door as fast as possible,” Haviland said. “We don’t believe in making a customer wait for days for something that takes only a few hours to do. Unless we have to order parts to fix your system, we can typically get your computer out the door the same day.”

Haviland offers free computer recycling and will accept about any electronics device for recycling except tube televisions and monitors.

“People often bring in electronics for recycling that I can repair and I’ll sell at a very reasonable price,” he added. “Don’t pay to have your electronics recycled.”

Business hours at 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
