Summer Activities Brochure is out! Be sure to check out this one-stop shop for all Park and Rec and Community Education programs and offerings for the summer. Park and Rec. Registration begins Monday, April 11 at 10 a.m.

Tiny Tot Open Swims Fridays, April 15, 29, May 13, 27 from 9:30-11 a.m. Children are able to swim in the shallow areas of the pool and use the tot slide. Child must be within reach of adult at all times. Fee is $2.25 per child. There is no charge for the adult. Whirlpool is closed during Tot Swim.

We need help to build Hermann Heights Playground! Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talent to put together and install this beautiful new and exciting playground at Hermann Heights Park, please call Cheryl Kormann at 507-359-8340. Volunteers should bring their own ratchet, but a limited supply will be provided.

No Ice at Civic Center There is no ice in our Civic Center now through April 15. There is a hockey tournament scheduled the weekend of April 16-17. Regular open skate/hockey sessions will resume starting April 18.

Arbor Day: Join us at German Park on April 22 at 10 a.m. for the Arbor Day proclamation, learn about trees and plan an actual tree in the park! Event may be canceled or postponed due to inclement weather.

New Ulm Area Bike Expo Saturday, April 23 from 9-11 a.m. at the Civic Center. Bring your own bike. There will be a limited number of bikes available for a FREE bike rodeo. A “strider” area will be available for younger children. There will be a bike display showing a variety of bikes from road to “fat tire”, a bike mechanic on hand, local organizations showing off bikerelated products and services, clubs to join and information about biking in New Ulm, nutrition and bike safety material. The event will conclude with a relaxed group ride for everyone that brings their own bike. This event is FREE and co-sponsored by Hearts Beat Back/Heart of New Ulm Project.
